🎉 The first stop of WCG 2025 kicks off in Busan, Korea, with the <National Showdown Korea Creator Rumble Buisan>. Co-hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, and proudly sponsored by Smilegate, this event marks the grand beginning of WCG 2025 this August.
🌍 Please join us in welcoming <India>—the newest country to join the National Showdown lineup! India, home to one of the world’s fastest-growing and most passionate gaming communities, will take part in WCG through an exciting partnership with leading creator-driven esports production company <Upthrust Esports>.
🎲 At the National Showdown, each country will host a special WCG program called <Creator Rumble>—a unique board game-based competition featuring top content creators from around the globe.

🏆The Esports World Cup is set to take place in Riyadh from July 7 to August 24, 2025, boasting a record-breaking $70 million prize pool, the largest in esports history.
This year’s tournament will feature an expanded lineup of 25 titles, including <chess>, <StarCraft II>, and <VALORANT>, promising an unprecedented scale and excitement.
Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, emphasized that the event is “not just about short-term impact, but part of a long-term vision.”
He added that the goal is to strengthen the global esports ecosystem and build sustainable pathways for future generations.
